  • purchased, downloaded, synced.
    works perfectly.
though i kind of wish the mobile me sync worked like syncing safari bookmarks and such, happening automatically without clicking a sync button on both ends.

  • Phew! Couldn’t hold my breath for much longer. Almost spent that $5 on a Starbucks coffee. Got the app off AppStore! Thanks for a great app iPhone to compliment another great app on Mac!

  • Works like a dream. I’m very happy and feel that keeping track of my expenses/income has become much easier. Good work all!

  • were can i provide feedback for a bug i’ve found?
when i have to correct an amount, i’m unable to re enter the new one. I have to go back to the account list, re choose the account, and re enter the correct amount.
The rest works like a charme so far.
    Thanks

  • How are you supposed to sync with .mac. There are no instructions what so ever. I have entered my .mac username & password but what’s the ‘Path’ for?

  • Great! I can finally stop checking the iTunes Store several times a day!!!
    I’ve downloaded, I’ve synced. It’s looking good.

    Congratulations!

  • It looks great but I’m having some trouble synching via WebDAV — instructions are pretty sparse. Where can I find a how-to or something? I’ve got the WebDAV server, but iBank Mobile either complains about “method not allowed” (if I try to use http) or “untrusted certificate” (if I try to use https).

  • Downloaded the app this morning:

Pros – It’s a very pretty app and seems nice and stable.

Cons – Missing way too many features to be a legitimate stand-alone banking solution unless you have the most basic finances:
    1) No scheduled transaction support
    2) No running balance
    3) No ability (that I could find) to enter future transactions and then reconcile manually
    4) Categories list is empty…I know that I’ll build my own over time, but items like “Groceries” or “Cable Bill” should be there as a baseline
    5) Haven’t tried, but doesn’t look like transfer between accounts is supported

All in all, not what I expected and disappointing for $4.99…I’ll look forward to more updates.

  • Overall the app looks and works great, and I’m thrilled to finally have it. However, here is my (mostly copied) list of requested updates:

    1) No scheduled transactions
    2) No running balance
    3) No ability to reconcile
    4) Stocks don’t seem to show up correctly (unless I’m using it wrong). My stocks all show up as a large negative balance, which is the total cash I’ve use to buy them. It does not show a current value based on current stock prices like it does in the regular app.

    5) Down the road request: the graph on the home screen is nice, but it would be nice if one day the forecasting synced over also. Not a big deal though.

  • PLEASE CHANGE THE ICON…. MAKE IT WITH A GREEN BACKGROUND OR SOMETHING… I just dont like icons that have black backgrounds

  • Great App!

    Minor issue:
    – when tethering/on a call/voice recording, the interface is distorted. Buttons move down but the background doesn’t.

    Requests
    – Ability to reconcile
    – Categories with subcategories should be a drill-down menu rather than a large list (long category names are also truncated)
    – Spending section: ability to sort by ‘amount spent’ not just name and when viewing the category list, it should also be a list of main categories with subcategories accessed via a drill-down).
    – Ability to select only certain accounts for the main screen balances and spending section.

Otherwise, it is great to see it in the wild and I look forward to the future of iBank.

    Paul

  • Noticed an issue concerning splits: I use a split transaction for my payslip.

On iBank Mobile my Gross Income has a (-) symbol in front of it (as do other income categories) and the expenses categories are positive (ie. Income Tax, Deductions). When adding another split item I have to make a new income item ‘negative’ for it to add up.

I think it is a minor bug.

  • I love the app but I am with Jacob. Please change the icon in the next update, black is not good, the bottom half of the icon blends into the background. You know what they say:

    For the hue of the icon, don’t just choose black;
    It’s the color of goths and those who are slack;
Choose something fancy like pink, red or green
With appropriate style for your adding machine

  • Nice work fellas! And thanks for not including a load of prebuilt categories. They never match how I want to classify my spending, and they’re so tedious to delete or update. Great App otherwise – nice that adding a new expenditure is so quick. You really can do it on the way out of the store!

  • Love the application. The first thing I did notice is that there is no reconciling available. I am going to be purchasing iBank 3.5 tonight and am wondering if anyone knows, if I rec on that will it carry over to this? (assuming I am syncing) I look forward to updates, my favorite part of buying apps.

  • Looks great, but with one issue, important for me. I don’t need payee in transfers i.e. beetween credit card and cash accout but I can’t create such a transaction in iBank Mobile – payee is obligatory.

  • Does anyone know if this will sync with multiple devices? I would like to sync the desktop with my wife’s iPhone and mine. Is this possible? Thanks

  • The first ibank icon was lame
And iggsoft received all the blame
But they soon changed their song
    And confessed they were wrong
They changed it, and green it became.

    Oh yeah! Much better.

  • Just a downloaded 1.0.1 this morning and I have not been able to get it to sync with iBank 3.5 since. I was able to sync earlier this morning, before I updated iBank Mobile, but not since. Any advice? Also, a minor bug I have noticed is that you cannot start a negative amount (say like $.23), i.e. a POS, Withdrawal, etc. with a decimal point. You always have to start with a whole number then delete, add the decimal point and reselect what transaction type it is to make it negative again. Just an observation. Overall, a very very happy camper though 🙂
