Direct Access is a service exclusive to the IGG Software products Banktivity 5, Banktivity for iPad, and Banktivity for iPhone. It allows you to view all of your financial transactions – even pending ones – in Banktivity as soon as they become available in your online accounts. Once your banking logins are set up, accounts update automatically in the background, with no additional steps needed.
Now as in the past, users of Banktivity for Mac can update accounts using either direct downloads or web downloads. While these methods for importing transactions from your online accounts remain a popular (and typically free) option, Direct Access provides certain advantages for subscribers to the service. It adds one more means for acquiring account data, yet it’s not required to use Banktivity successfully.
There are also multiple options for getting financial data into Banktivity for iPad and Banktivity for iPhone. You can enter transactions manually; you can sync data from Banktivity for Mac at no cost; or you can use Direct Access to update accounts held in any of more than 10,000 connected institutions worldwide.
