How to resolve “Transaction templates need a title, transaction type and currency.”

This error message can occur when using our Cloud Sync and it indicates that some of your transaction templates have invalid data. The best way to resolve this issue is to follow these steps:

  1. Launch iBank and go to Preferences > General and make sure auto-updating the document is off
  2. Close your iBank document, if it is open
  3. Hold down the control and option keys then Choose File > Open Recent > [your document]
  4. When the document it opens, it will run a database validity check and fix the issue
  5. In your iBank document, choose View > Show Sync Settings
  6. Click Troubleshoot Cloud Sync then choose Reset Server
  7. Read the dialogs and confirm that you want to replace the data on the server with your local data

Once the reset server sync finishes you should be able sync your other documents with the cloud sync server.
