Capital One Bank is discontinuing service for Direct Download (OFX), which may impact the way you connect Capital One Bank to Banktivity. Starting December 15, 2017, you will need to change your connection method to “Direct Access” in order to continue automatically downloading transactions into Banktivity.
You can use the following steps to change your connection method to Direct Access:
- Double-Click on the account name for the account.
- Click “Check Status” followed by “Take Offline”
- Go to Account> Configure Automatic Download.
- Follow on screen prompts to set up your account. Choose the “Direct Access” option when prompted.
IMPORTANT: If you use Bill Pay with Capital One Bank in Banktivity, you will not be able to cancel your online payments within Banktivity. We recommend you printout your pending payments to ensure the pending payments are correctly matched once they post and are returned in your statement download. Matching these transactions will help avoid an incorrect account balance. You should be able to use the Bill Pay system from the capitalone.com website for sending payments in the future.
