Banktivity Document files syncing via iCloud Drive

macOS Sierra will sync the Documents folder and Desktop automatically with iCloud Drive by default.  So far we have not been able to confirm any issues when Banktivity Document (data) files are synced with iCloud Drive, but there are potential risks.  If 2 users are updating Banktivity on 2 separate Mac’s at the same time the data from one Mac could potentially overwrite changes entered from the other Mac.

To avoid changes from being overwritten from another Mac we would recommend creating a new folder under your username/home folder that does not sync with iCloud Drive and save your Banktivity Document (data) file in that folder.

Note: This pertains to iCloud Drive specifically, not to our Cloud Sync service.  Using our Cloud Sync is perfectly fine and does not have the same potential dangers of overwriting data.
