OFX/Direct Connect error after updating to Banktivity 8.6

If you are unable to connect to your bank using OFX/Direct Connect after upgrading to Banktivity 8.6, taking the account offline and back online should allow you to get reconnected.

We updated the connection client in v8 so in some cases, you may need to log in to your bank’s website to allow 3rd-party apps to connect. This seems to only be the case with some of the larger financial institutions.

To take the account offline, double-click on the account in the sidebar and choose “Check Status”, then “Take Offline”.

To take the account back online, click on “Configure connection” and in the following “Find my bank” window, select your bank from the list. The setup assistant will guide you through the setup.
